Services - Emotional Support

No matter how much you love them, caring for someone can be very demanding and emotionally draining. It is important that you get a chance to share your feelings with someone outside of the family circle. The Carer Support Worker that you are linked with at the Carers Centre is there to offer a listening ear if you need help to resolve an issue or if you are just having a bad day.

Other ways of getting emotional support are by attending our support groups or our social events. This will give you the chance to talk to other carers about how you are feeling, this is called “peer support”.
